The Young Activists Summit "Women and Girls Driving Progress" will be held on 10 December 2019 at the Palais des Nations on the occasion of Human Rights Day. This Summit will bring together six young female activists.

From 4 to 12 December 2019, the Humanitarian Trail is like an open-space museum featuring walking routes between landmarks that are rich in history and symbolism, with temporary exhibitions and events to experience along the way, all based on the themes of the 33rd International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.

The Geneva Environment Network (GEN) is a cooperative partnership of more than 100 environmental and sustainable development organizations based in the Geneva region. To mark GEN’s 20th anniversary, a special PechaKucha Night and High-Level Discussion on the role of Geneva in placing the environment on the highest political agenda will be organized on 25 and 26 November 2019 at the International Environment House II.

According to the World Health Organization, two billion people still do not have basic sanitation facilities. How do governments and organisations address this sanitation crisis? On 19 November, the "Toilet Revolution" event, organized by Heidi News and the Graduate Institute with the support of  the Toilet Board Coalition and UN-Water. will focus on digital health innovations in the field of sanitation and will shed light on organisations based in Geneva working to improve the global sanitation landscape.

To pay tribute to the civilian victims of armed conflict, Handicap International will unveil an Unknown Civilian Memorial under the Broken Chair on 14 November 2019. For more information about the event, dowload the flyer or visit the Facebook page. At the same time, a travelling exhibit entitled «Stop bombing civilians» will be presented on the Place des Nations from November 11 to 17.

The Geneva Peace Week will take place from 4 to 8 November 2019. Over 100 partners, including NGOs, International Organizations and Diplomatic Missions, will organize more than 70 events over five days, covering different angles and approaches to peacebuilding.

The International Labour Office (ILO)  will open its doors to the public for the first time in 100 years on Tuesday, 15 October. For one working day, the ILO invites you, in collaboration with the Fondation pour Genève, to discover its 100 years of action on the ground but also to dialogue together on the future of the world of work.

Can the financial sector help solve some of the major challenges world agriculture is facing ? This question, among others, will be debated during the Building Bridges Week that will take place in Geneva between 7 and 11 October 2019. Building Bridges Week's objective is to foster new conversations and collaborations that will accelerate the finance industry’s contribution to the achievement of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals. From 5 October 2019 to 1 March 2020, the Bodmer Foundation presents the War and Peace exhibition, organized in partnership with the UNOG and the ICRC. Trough the rare items from the patrimonies of the Bodmer Foundation and the partner institutions, the exhibition aims to inform visitors on the everlasting dialogue between man’s warlike nature and his deep desire for peace.

To mark the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Conventions, the ICRC organizes “Voices from the field”. On 18 September, humanitarian workers and victims of armed conflicts will share some stories of how international humanitarian law (IHL) has had a positive impact. The Ninth Meeting of States Parties (9MSP) to the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) will be held from 2 to 4 September 2019 in Room XX at the Palais des Nations. The photojournalist and TED member Laura Boushnak spent over 10 years documenting the survivors of cluster bombs.
