On this picture taken by Giles Duley in 2016. Aya, a young Syrian refugee, hugs her father as they prepare to be resettled from Lebanon to France. Aya, who has spina bifida, lived in an unfinished building in a new estate in the edge of Tripoli in Northern Lebanon. She has lived there for just over a year after her family moved from the tent they lived in by a cement factory. Her family had fled from Idlib in March 2014 after their house was bombed. Previously Aya’s father, Ayman owned a soap factory and her mother Sihan was a kindergarten teacher.
