Cité internationale du Grand Morillon: Imagining the International Geneva of tomorrow

The Cité Internationale du Grand Morillon is a planned new development located on the corner of Route de Ferney and Route des Morillons, at the heart of the "Garden of Nations" district. The development will consist of:

  • A 700-room student residence for the Graduate Institute Geneva (IHEID)
  • The headquarters of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)(MSF)
  • An 80-apartment residential building for employees of international organizations, built by Terra & Casa Foundation

In 2017, international architecture competitions were organized for each of the three projects. The winners are: US architect Steven Holl for the MSF headquarters, Kengo Kuma for the Graduate Institute, and the Valais-based firm Bonnard et Woeffray for Terra & Casa.

The three organizations are working together to create a harmonious landscape design for the area, which will be open to the public.
